After-School Programs and Academic Impact: A Study of Chicago’s After School Matters

               



     



This study finds that the students who participated in ASM, on average, had better prior attendance records and fewer course failures than students who did not enroll in the program. However, the study finds that after taking prior levels of attendance and educational achievement into account, ASM participants still had significantly better outcomes than students who did not participate in ASM.
